Synopsis :

Aiman is a 28-year-old Malay correctional officer who is recently transferred to the territory’s top prison. He lives with his older sister Suhaila in a modest housing estate.

At his new workplace, Aiman begins to take an interest in a 65-year-old sergeant named Rahim. Soon, it is revealed that the charismatic Rahim is actually the long-serving chief executioner of the prison. Rahim also takes notice of the principled and diligent Aiman. When Rahim’s assistant suddenly quits, he asks Aiman to become his apprentice. Aiman tells Suhaila of his new job position, but Suhaila becomes upset, as their father was actually executed by Rahim. Aiman knew this all along.

One of the most far-reaching events in a human life is the birth of your baby. But life with a newborn can be so ordinary and at the same time all-embracing: the wash is drying in the corridor, the bathroom has to be cleaned. In the calm rhythm of the day, Ordinary Time skims past authentic moments like this.
In her feature debut, the Portuguese filmmaker Susana Nobre presents pregnancy leave in a charming and sensitive way, while avoiding the romance and the drama. Conversations with visiting friends do open up a more complex world behind the ordinariness, however. Like the girlfriend who is quarrelling with her daughter about her slow morning ritual, and the friend who has decided to have no children because he doesn’t want to pass on his worse characteristics. We mainly see the new generation sleeping peacefully in this film.

Synopsis : Six music freelancers find themselves in a Normandy chateau to prepare a concert of New Year’s Eve. But the team assembled by Roberto never showed up..
Reluctantly, Roberto had to call Martial, a violist better with verbs than the bow, and flutist, Teresa, whose delivery seems imminent. Diana, the violonist, is a student at the Conservatoire who participates for the first time to this kind of concert. As for the clarinetist, nobody knows him: he was imposed by the squire, an old music lover whose deafness prevents from hearing anything but music.
Before the final show, the team must pratcice at a charity concert in the village’s church and then provide animation in a school. But the prestigious conductor Svarowski, which must come from Austria, doesn’t arrive.
For the six freelancers, harmoniously playing the score becomes everyday a more difficult challenge to keep ..
